Description of Glass Fiber Syringe Filter

Glass Fiber Luer lock syringe filter (Luer connector, or Luer-Lock connector) can hold the needle firmly and is an ideal accessory product for the syringe. Under normal circumstances, the liquid is filtered and distributed to small containers, and the pressurized small-volume liquid is passed through the filter. At this time, the pressure of the bolus injection is very large, even up to 3~4 bar (kg/cm2). For ordinary sliding-mouth syringes, the filter is likely to fly away, making the experiment impossible.

The polydiene shell of Luer lock syringe filter does not contain dyes, reducing sample contamination; and contains a complete glass fiber medium pre-filter, even difficult-to-handle samples can be easily filtered by hand. Hawach glass fiber syringe filters act as a valuable pre-filter to extend membrane life with strong dirt absorption capacity.

Among them, 0.45 micron glass fiber syringe filter is a natural hydrophobic filter medium, which has the characteristics of large flux and large dirt holding capacity.

0.45 micron syringe filter is a hot sale product and are always used in coarse filtration and pre-filtration, preferentially retaining large particles.It is suitable for the conventional filtration of organic solvents such as high particle content and strong alkaline viscosity. Glass fiber syringe filter is ideal for handling viscous and difficult-to-filter samples. Same as cellulose acetate syringe filter, Hawach syringe filter is most commonly used for liquid and gas dust removal, sterilization filtration, biological sample preparation, microbial culture medium, tissue culture medium, buffer solution, etc. in chemical HPLC-MS/GC-MS analysis.

Sterile Glass Fiber Syringe Filter

Hawach sterile GF syringe filter autoclave at 121°C at 1 bar for 20 minutes/EO/Gamma. Each syringe filter is individually packaged and suitable for high sterilization requirements. Glass fiber syringe filter in HPLC analysis, the particle size of the chromatographic column packing is small and it is easy to be blocked by impurity particles. Therefore, samples and solvents need to be filtered in advance to remove particulate contaminants and protect the instrument. Difference from sterile cellulose acetate syringe filters suitable for protein recovery, glass fiber syringe filter suit for HPLC analysis.
